LendLoop, operated by TripFish LLC ("we", "our", "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information when you use our peer-to-peer item lending tracker.

Account Information

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive and store your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Item and Lending Data

We store the items you track, including item names, descriptions, and status (available, loaned, or borrowed). We also store lending transaction records, including who you lend to or borrow from, dates, expected return dates, and transaction notes.

Activity and Social Data

We store your activity feed interactions, including likes and comments on lending activity. We also store your friend connections and crew memberships.

Usage and Analytics Data

We collect anonymized usage data to improve the Service, including pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. We use Mixpanel and Google Analytics for this purpose.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and maintain the LendLoop service
• Display your profile information to users you interact with
• Track lending transactions and send return reminders
• Power the social activity feed
• Generate share links for lending transactions
• Improve the Service through anonymized analytics
• Communicate important updates about the Service

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be visible to other users in the following ways:

• Lending partners: Users you lend to or borrow from can see relevant transaction details.
• Share links: Anyone with a share link can view the associated transaction information.
• Activity feed: Your lending activity may appear in your friends' feeds, depending on your privacy settings (public, friends-only, or private).
• Crews: Crew members can see items added to the crew.

We share anonymized, aggregated data with analytics providers (Mixpanel, Google Analytics) to improve the Service. We may also disclose data if required by law.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

LendLoop uses cookies and browser local storage for authentication sessions, user preferences, and analytics. Session cookies are essential for keeping you signed in. Analytics cookies help us understand how the Service is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your experience.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Google OAuth, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View the personal data we hold about you through your profile settings.
• Correction: Update your information through the Service (profile data is synced from your Google account).
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data through account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed. Anonymized transaction records may be retained.
• Privacy controls: Set transaction privacy to public, friends-only, or private.
• Data portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data and aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely. Share links will expire according to their configured expiration dates.

9. Children's Privacy

LendLoop is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
